Sketchbook Flip-Through

A look inside my sketchbook — quick drawings, rough lines, and the stories behind them. Sometimes stepping away from digital tools is the best way to reset and find new ideas.

Most of what I share here is digital — brushes, layers, shortcuts, all that good stuff. But sometimes I just need to shut the laptop and pick up a pencil. There’s something about paper that slows me down in the best way. Smudges stay, mistakes show, and I kind of love that honesty. This post is basically a flip-through of my sketchbook: every page has a little story, nothing fancy, just the way I use drawing to reset my head.

I sketched a portrait wrapped in mechanical parts. The lines are busy, almost chaotic, but that’s what I enjoy about ink: every mark stays, and the details pile up until the whole piece starts to feel alive.

Here’s my take on Finn the Human—but reimagined in the bold, high-energy style of Dragon Ball. The sharp lines, heavy shadows, and intense expression give him a battle-ready look that feels straight out of a shonen showdown. I wanted to capture Finn’s determination while giving him that classic DBZ grit, like he’s about to power up for the fight of his life.

Stan lee: Marvel drawing by allard lavaritte

This piece is my tribute to Stan Lee, drawn shortly after he passed away. At the center is the man whose imagination sparked it all, surrounded by some of the most iconic heroes and villains ever created. From Spider-Man and the X-Men to Iron Man and Black Panther, every character represents a piece of comic history that has inspired generations. Creating this spread was my way of honoring the legacy of the storyteller who shaped my love for art and superheroes.

Old Sketchbook Doodles – Techwear & Goggles

This spread comes from one of my older sketchbooks, back when I was just filling pages with quick doodles and experimenting with style. The left sketch is heavy with ink, almost like a techwear silhouette, while the right has a looser, softer feel with the goggles and hat. Nothing polished here—just the kind of raw drawing that kept me going years ago and still makes me smile when I flip back through these pages.
